State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Pyotr Kucherenko died. This has been reported area ministries.

“Peter Kucherenko fell ill on the plane that the Russian delegation was boarding on the way back from a business trip to Cuba,” the report says.

Then the plane landed in Mineralnye Vody, where doctors tried to help the deputy minister, but Kucherenko could not be saved.

“We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Petr Alexandrovich,” said the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The date and place of a ministry employee’s funeral have not yet been given.

Petr Kucherenko was born on May 3, 1977. He graduated from the Russian People’s Friendship University (PFUR) in 2001 with a degree in legal science. On June 17, 2021, he was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs – Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education. He left behind a wife and a son.
