First winners of the 2023 National Internet Content Award announced

IRI’s press service announced the first episode of the winners of the Internet Development Institute’s (IRI) National Internet Content Award 2023 on May 18. During the event, the winners of 16 nominations were determined.

“We are holding the award for the second time in a row and we are seeing more and more talented, positive, creative projects online. Creating content that will positively impact your audience is the new normal, replacing hype and fast popularity. It is these projects that are in demand that the audience needs. “The winners of the award have proven once again in Russia that they know how to shoot them,” said Alexei Goreslavsky, Director General of IRI.

Thus, the social and educational project “Dedsad” on the importance of intergenerational communication won in the thematic nomination “Making the world a better place”. The film “Sea of ​​Ink”, which tells the story of Sasha, a young sailor from Vladivostok, who has not seen his father since childhood, was named “Best Short Film”. “Internet Media’s Best Special Project” was the multi-format “The Collapse of the Unipolar World” project, dealing with the crisis of democracy and how the Internet and globalization have led to general poverty and inequality.

The video “Time to move to Russia”, which garnered millions of views and attracted the attention of foreign media, won the first place in the “Best Viral Content” category. The animated series “About Peace and Gosh”, dedicated to family relations, was named “Best Animated Project”.
In the “Best Music Video” nomination, Basta’s video “I Believe In You” won first place.

In contrast, “Best Podcast” was recognized as the “Faith and Thomas Questions or Tea with Jam” project for children dedicated to the universe, history, culture and religion. In the nomination “Best project in portrait format” won the online program “Teacher of the Year” with more than 3.5 million views in VK Clips.

In the category of “Best video content up to 3 minutes”, a social video about the importance of family education and family life, “No family is not childhood” by the Foundation for Arithmetic Goodness, voicing Sergey Bezrukov, was awarded.

Recall that in 2023, 66 projects selected from more than 500 applications made it to the finals of the National Internet Content Award. The award was established by IRI to promote creative online content and its authors.
