Analysts chose the most discussed Russian car brands on social networks

Using the Medialogia social media monitoring system, analysts from the companies SberMarketing and SberAvto compiled the rating of the most discussed domestic car models, and also prepared a study in which they examined the sales dynamics and compiled a portrait of a typical Russian car owner.

“socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.

After the departure of foreign car brands, social media users discussed Lada Granta the most. According to Medialogy, more than 250,000 posts mentioning this model were published from October 2022 to April 2023. Lada Granta became the first car to resume production after the temporary closure of Russian automobile factories. The cost of the car also affected the discussion – this is one of the few models whose value is up to one million rubles.

Lada Vesta is in second place with 230,000 messages. The peak of publications came in March, when AvtoVAZ released the updated Lada Vesta Cross.

Moskvich 3 was in the top three with 117,000 shares. The largest number of publications took place in November, when the Moskvich automobile plant announced that business has resumed and has begun production of the new city crossover Moskvich 3.

In fourth place is Lada Priora – 94 thousand publications. The top five were closed by the VAZ-2107 as a result of 89 thousand messages.

Then come UAZ Patriot (UAZ-3163), Niva (VAZ 2121), Kopeyka/Zhiguli (VAZ 2101), VAZ-2106. In tenth place is Evolute. The summit came in November. This month, the first 400 Evolute i-Pro electric vehicles of the 2022 model year were launched in Lipetsk.

The least discussed domestic cars on social networks were Lada X-Cross 5, Volga GAZ-31105 and Moskvich-408.

According to SberAvto, an online car sales service, this year, LADA Granta was the most popular among Russian-made cars. In terms of sales, LADA Vesta and LADA Niva occupy second and third places.

The main buyers of Russian cars are office workers of various positions. In the second place are representatives of various fields engaged in manual labor, in the third place are freelancers.

The majority (79%) drive every day and several times a week – 18%. The remaining 3% drive less. 34% of vehicle owners are busy modifying their vehicles.
The main place where you can buy a Russian car remains a car dealership or dealership. Second, online shopping. Reasons to buy include opportunities that did not exist before, the first car purchase and the desire to replace the car with a new model.
