Rinat Maksyutov, Managing Director of the Vector Virology Center, where the EpiVacCoron vaccine is produced, was dismissed due to an affair with a subordinate. Reported on this Telegram channel Basis.

“According to Baza’s sources, Maksyutov’s departure is connected with his mistress,” the publication says.

It was also noted that the woman worked in a high position at the Vector center.

“According to the center staff, the word ‘work’ is not quite right: the girl has an empty schedule, she is only in the center when she sees fit,” says Baza.

It is alleged that Vector employees got angry about this situation and therefore complained about Maksyutov to the leadership of Rospotrebnadzor. They even reportedly had a “seemingly unhelpful” conversation with the director.

Formerly Rospotrebnadzor, Rinat Maksyutova lay off for “conflict of interest” and violation of anti-corruption law. The agency said it had taken “measures to cover up the facts that have emerged”.
