According to Kurenkov, more than 6 thousand buildings burned in forest fires in the Sverdlovsk, Kurgan and Tyumen regions.
The head of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation also noted that the Sverdlovsk region is the most fire-prone region of the country. The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation confirmed that 12 people died in the fires in this region.
Also, Kurenkov offered to provide residents of the Kurgan and Sverdlovsk regions affected by the fires with additional financial assistance from the federal budget.
