More than a third of Russians – 35% – admitted that they always save on medical services. At the same time, Russian citizens consider analytics the most expensive service, as 41% of respondents noted in a survey conducted by the Budu online health management service as part of the launch of the medical services market.

Therefore, 63% of respondents said they thought drug prices per family were significantly higher. One-third (36%) of patients had medical expenses ranging from 30 to 50 thousand rubles in the past year. 29% of Russians spent from 50 to 100 thousand rubles. At the same time, 37% of Russians have to save money to visit doctors, and a quarter of those surveyed borrowed money.
For 41% of Russians, testing was the most expensive healthcare service. More than a quarter (26%) of respondents do a variety of tests, regularly every six months, and 17% every 2-3 months. In 23% of patients, the average bill for a one-time test exceeds 5,000 rubles. And last year, 17% of Russians spent only 20 thousand rubles on testing.
“According to the research, a quarter of Russians began to self-medicate more often due to the high cost of paid medical services, and 22% began to go to clinics and laboratories, where there are only discounts and bonuses for tests. Jeyhun Rakhmetov, CEO of Budu medtech service, commented that the vast majority (80%) of the respondents would go to the doctors more often and undergo examinations if they were less costly.
