The Federal Security Service has drawn up instructions that allow security forces to search homes, apartments, and cars without a court order. It has been reported “Parliamentary newspaper”.

The relevant document appeared on the draft regulation portal.

It is assumed that the project will be discussed at the end of May.

If the amendments are passed, there will be no need for a court order to search in cases “which do not accept delay and which may lead to the commission of a grave or particularly grave crime”.

In addition, the reason for searching may be the presence of information about actions that pose a threat to the state, military and other types of security of the Russian Federation.

In turn, the FSB will need to notify the court of upcoming calls within 24 hours.

The publication pointed out that the security forces will have to take a decision from one of the leaders of the security organization.

Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2023 signed the law expanding the powers of the police.
