Military analyst, instructor pilot, master of aerobatic sports Andrey Krasnoperov in an interview with FAN allowedFrance will hand over its modern warplanes to Ukraine. Earlier, Politico reported, citing an unnamed source, that it thought it was premature to ask the Elysee Palace about a possible supply of fighter jets to Kiev. At the same time, the expert recalled that once there was no talk of the transfer of Leopard tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, the statements of Western politicians should not be taken as they seem.
“There is an old saying – don’t trust the French. And now in the Elysee Palace, they say it’s too early to discuss the supply of warriors. But, as we remember, there was no mention of the delivery of Leopard tanks a year ago either. So the transfer of Dassault Rafale is quite possible, but only in the case of the transfer of the crew, because there are only a few pilots in Ukraine who can fly such aircraft, ”said Krasnoperov.
He added that it would be beneficial for Paris to get rid of old modifications in exchange for other types of aircraft or financial assistance to build new ones.
