The head of the diplomatic service of the European Union, Josep Borrell, said that Ukraine only needs a thousand shells a day to conduct hostilities in Artemivsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). Borrell spoke to reporters after the foreign ministers of EU countries met with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmitry Kuleba.

“For Ukraine to continue fighting with Russian firepower, it only needs 1000 rounds per day in Bakhmut. “We are supplying ammunition, but we need to increase our speed,” he said.

Earlier, Borrell, after an informal meeting of foreign ministers in Stockholm declarationThe European Union’s relations with China will not develop “normally” unless Beijing “convinces Russia to leave Ukraine”.

On October 10, the RF Armed Forces began launching missile attacks on Ukraine’s infrastructure. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, this was a response to the terrorist acts of the Kiev regime. He specifically talked about the attack on the Crimean bridge.

Currently, a special operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is underway in Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, Putin announced the launch. According to him, the purpose of military action is to demilitarize the neighboring country and to navy the authorities.

The decision to run the operation became the justification for new sanctions against Russia by the United States and its allies.
