According to him, at around 21:50 Moscow time, the power went out in the so-called Microdistrict, and then an explosion was heard in the city. At the same time, according to the agency reporter, there are currently no lights in some residences near the explosion site. Also, in some other parts of Melitopol there is no electricity, water and internet at the moment.

Earlier, the management of Melitopol reported that an explosive device was triggered. According to the authorities, no one not injuredhowever, the explosion damaged the windows of a nearby house and parked cars.

On February 24, 2022, Putin announced that he had decided to organize a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
