The head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borrell, urged the chiefs of staff of the European armies to increase the urgent supply of ammunition to Ukraine from the existing reserves. He announced this at a forum in Brussels, reports DEA News.
The diplomat said the EU plans to train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers and supply large quantities of ammunition to Kiev. However, he did not provide detailed information about these figures.
“We also have a target to deliver one million units of 155 caliber ammunition. We have delivered more than a thousand missiles since 9 February this year, when our ammunition plan began to be implemented,” said Borrell, and drew attention to the fact that 5,000 ammunition was not enough.
In this regard, he urged the chiefs of staff of the European armies to supply more than their reserves, and then they can be replenished.
