On May 8, the State Duma commission, investigating the facts of foreign intervention in Russia’s internal affairs, noted several attempts to “devastatingly influence” minors. He announced this in his newspaper telegraph channel The head of the commission is Vasily Piskarev.
According to the deputy, until May 9, foreign agents were actively distributing manuals in order to discredit the project “Conversations on Important Matters” and distort the history of Russia in the eyes of schoolchildren.
Piskarev said that the perpetrators tried to underestimate the significance of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), to impose on young Russians a sense of guilt rather than pride in their ancestors.
The parliamentarian assured that the materials collected by the Duma commission will be sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia.
