FSB officers in the Zaporozhye region prevented the killing of the Kirillovka police chief

In the Zaporozhye region, the local FSB department prevented the killing of the chief of police in the urban-type settlement of Kirillovka – the detained Ukrainian admitted that he acted on the orders of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, reports TASS.

“The FSB of Russia for the Zaporizhia region and the FSB of Russia for the FSVNG of Russia (Rosguard – TASS note) prevented an attempt on the life of one of the leaders of law enforcement in the Zaporozhye region. The first victim of the attacker was the head of the police department in the village of Kirillovka, Balabin Yu.

The FSB said the attacker had arrived in the Zaporozhye region, prepared a weapon and was going to launch a terrorist attack – but the FSB officers managed to keep the man alive after taking his gun.

Previously in Melitopol arrested suspected of involvement in an assassination attempt on the deputy chief of police.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on May 2, the police in Melitopol received a message that an explosive device had detonated, in which a police officer was injured.
