The commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War began on Red Square in Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on Red Square with foreign guests. Presidents of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will follow the march together with the Russian leader.

In the stands, Putin greeted the veterans, shook hands and had a little chat with them. Participants of a special military operation, families of martyrs, war veterans and students are in the central tribune next to Putin.
