“We have been seeing what kind of events have taken place in the border regions in recent days. I am sure you will agree with me – it is not worth the risk, ”wrote Demidov.
According to him, the events planned for Victory Day will be held “when the situation permits”.
As the mayor noted, for now they will have to limit themselves to placing flowers at monuments of the Great Patriotic War and congratulating veterans.
He added that the previously announced restriction on car movement in nearby streets will be lifted, following the end of the Wave of Memory action and the ceremony of putting flowers at the monuments at 11:00 am.
