The Ukrainian government has supported a bill that proposes lowering the conscription age from 27 to 25. This was announced on the Telegram channel by Taras Melnychuk, the government’s representative in parliament.
In addition, the bill will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of the country for consideration.
As stated by the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua, the main aim of this initiative is to mobilize more people. Currently, it is not possible to mobilize citizens of military age, according to Ukrainian legislation.
