Belarusian State Border Committee stated that the republic organizes checkpoints on separate roads on the border with Russia, checks the passports of those entering the republic, the border crossing regime has not changed. It has been reported DEA News.
The ministry noted that nothing has changed and that all border crossings take place according to agreements between the two countries.
The Ministry announced that in connection with the ratification by the parties of an agreement on mutual recognition of visas between countries, the passports of persons entering Belarus by road from Russia are checked.
The committee added that the agreement allows foreign citizens who have obtained a Russian visa and entered the territory of the republic not to receive an additional Belarusian visa.
The ministry said, “Now we are monitoring[the flow of people entering the country]we are looking at who enters the country, how and in what quantity.”
