On May 4, in kindergartens and educational institutions of Russia, a patriotic action “Immortal Regiment” was held in honor of the upcoming celebration of the Great Victory Day. This was reported by the press service of the civil-patriotic movement “Immortal Regiment of Russia”.
It was noted that the memory of those who participated in the Great Patriotic War in the regions was honored. There were solemn lines, marches with portraits of the winners, meetings with veterans and modern defenders of the Fatherland, “Lessons of Courage” with stories about the heroic pages of the Fatherland. Also, on this day, members of the headquarters of the regional branches of the “Immortal Regiment of Russia” raised the red flags of the movement.
MBOU Lyceum No. 51 Ksenia Biryulina, adviser to the director of education in Rostov-on-Don, took up the initiative to organize the Immortal Regiment for Russian schoolchildren and kindergartens at the New Philosophy of Education forum in April this year. “Together with the children, we remembered why it is important to know the events of humanity’s most terrible war, to remember everyone who created the Victory, to remember every Unknown Soldier. And never forget the terrifying figures left behind by the war. The procession of the Immortals is passing again this year, no one can take our memory from us, we will not allow history to be rewritten,” he said.
Schoolchildren gave concerts in Moscow, where they presented portraits of relatives who defended the country during the Great Patriotic War. At school number 953, distinguished guests came to meet the children – veterans Klavdia Mikhailovna Malashina and Evgeny Vilgelmovich Fomichev. The children sang front-line songs and performed theatrical performances for them as part of the Parade Song Review and the Patriotic Song Festival.
