Former Editor-in-Chief Global Times Hu Xijin said that the purpose of Ukraine’s drone attack on the Kremlin was a show of strength.

According to the columnist, it is highly unlikely that the drone attack was carried out with the intent to kill.

“The main purpose of this action was not to successfully complete the murder, it is not so important. The aim was to shock, disrupt the parade on Red Square on Victory Day,” writes Hu Xijin.

He added that in this way the Ukrainian side could try to undermine the Russian public’s confidence in victory.

Former Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov aforementionedHe said the Russian side hopes the US will condemn the attack on the Kremlin, but “protects the Kiev criminals”. He also said that Russia will respond to a drone strike when the Kremlin sees fit.
