The head of the regional administration reported on the telegraph channel that after the explosion of a powerline pylon in the Leningrad region, the security of joint facilities and energy facilities was strengthened. Alexander Drozdenko.
According to the governor, an operation headquarters meeting was held with the heads of law enforcement to ensure security in the region. The security forces briefed on the operational measures taken to investigate the criminal case related to the blowing up of a powerline pole in the Gatchina area.
Drozdenko said that with the help of additional electronic security tools, such as motion sensors, vibration, video cameras, measures have been taken to strengthen the protection of joint facilities and energy facilities.
Measures have been agreed to ensure the safety of all Eid events scheduled for May 9. The governor said security measures in small settlements will be limited to laying flowers at monuments and funerals, and solemn and mourning gatherings. Such measures are taken to ensure the safety of the participants;
The governor stressed that the ban on the use of drones will apply to the entire Leningrad region. The only exception would be the use of drones to secure infrastructure facilities: access roads, power lines, oil and gas pipelines, water supply and sanitation facilities, forest fire detection and control measures. At the same time, the purposes, locations and working hours of the drones and the data of the person responsible for the operation must be specified.
Drozdenko said that in the near future, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard units will be equipped with electronic warfare equipment for the forced landing of unmanned aerial vehicles making uncoordinated flights.
