In the Bryansk region, unidentified persons blew up a railway line, causing a freight train to derail. RBC and Telegram channel 112 were the first to report this on the evening of May 2, later the information was confirmed by Russian Railways and regional authorities.

“Today at 19.47, on the non-electric single-track Snezhetskaya-Belye Bereg in the Bryansk region, a locomotive and about 20 wagons of a freight train were derailed due to illegal interference with the operation of rail transport,” the Russian authorities said. Said the Railways press service.

According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the incident. There is no open burning at the scene, the emergency services are drawn there. To eliminate the consequences of the accident, a firefighter and two rescue trains were sent to this section of the railway.

“At the moment, traffic is suspended on the Snezhetskaya-Beliye Berega section. “An operations center has been set up at Russian Railways to coordinate efforts to eliminate the consequences of derailment,” he said.

According to the statement of the Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz to the Telegram channel, the incident occurred in the area of the Snezhetskaya railway station – an unidentified explosive device exploded there.

Later, the head of the district wrote that he went to the scene of the accident. “Additional transport links have been arranged for passengers of the Bryansk-Orel and Orel-Bryansk railway lines as follows: Buses to White Shores will depart from Bryansk I train station. A suburban train from Belyye Beregy will bring passengers to Orel. Passengers will be delivered from Orel to White Shores and from there to Bryansk I station. Passenger transportation will be organized in this way until the traffic in this direction is completely recovered,” added Bogomaz.

The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor’s Office conducted an investigation into the derailment of wagons due to the explosion of the railway line. “The Bryansk transport prosecutor Konstantin Tolmachev coordinates the work of the investigative, operational agencies and emergency services at the scene,” the ministry’s press service said.

According to Baza, there were about 70 wagons on the affected train. Sulfur and saltpeter were probably poured from the overturned wagons. Now employees of the Ministry of Emergencies are cooling the derailed train and spills. In addition, the publication reports that the accident was caused by three simultaneous explosions.

SHOT, quoting a source, writes that the explosions on the railway in the Bryansk region, which occurred yesterday, on 136 km of the Bryansk-Unecha route, and today’s sabotage, may have been committed by the same people – the scenes of the events are 111 km.

At the same time, Mash reports that different sabotage groups were responsible for these two incidents. The first to organize the explosion in the Unecha-Rassukha division on May 1 consisted of three to five people. He may also have been involved in the averted terrorist attack in the Krasny Rog-Pochep area. The current DRG fled the scene a few minutes before the explosion.

On the eve of the morning, in the Unechsky district of the Bryansk region, an improvised explosive device exploded on a railway line, causing the derailment of a freight train created in Belarus. He followed this from Gomel and transported timber and petroleum products. As a result of the explosion, eight wagons derailed, a locomotive and two fuel tanks caught fire. However, neither the locomotive crew nor anyone else was injured. Passengers who had to take the Novozybkov-Moscow and Klimov-Moscow trains from the first stations were taken to Bryansk by bus.
