He reminded that the ratio of spending on research and development to GDP is one of the economic indicators that countries are compared.
“In light of the above, I request you to, together with the relevant ministries and departments, evaluate the possibility and feasibility of implementing these legislative initiatives and present the ministry’s position on this matter,” the letter said.
He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized the importance of R&D in creating new technologies demanded by the industry. Moreover, according to him, in the context of unprecedented sanctions pressure on the Russian Federation, this issue is of particular importance.
