RIA Novosti reported that on April 20, the elderly mother of Elena Silkina, deputy of one of the Russian senators, the representative of the Legislative Assembly of the Orenburg Region, Andrey Shevchenko, disappeared in Moscow.

“As part of the criminal case, it was established that the woman was the victim of telephone scammers, who persuaded the victim to transfer large sums of money to them,” Ivanova said.
Telegram channel Baza reported that scammers demanded a ransom of 2 million rubles from Adabash.
The woman disappeared on April 18, according to the channel’s source. In the afternoon, her daughters started receiving messages on the messenger from fifteen different numbers. When the girl called one of them again, the unidentified person said she had kidnapped her mother.
The daughter tried to reach her mother, but her phone was out of range. Then the senator’s deputy sent her husband to his mother, but his relative was not at home.
Police determined that the pensioner was last seen at the Leningradsky railway station. However, tickets were not purchased on behalf of the woman.
At the end of November 2022, unidentified persons arrived in St. He kidnapped two Chinese citizens in St. Petersburg for ransom.
The attackers introduced themselves to the Chinese as Interior Ministry inspectors. Then the so-called law enforcement officers offered the foreigners to go to the “Ministry of the Interior”.
Unsuspecting Chinese citizens agreed and were taken to an abandoned restaurant. There, the criminals, armed with knives and pistols, began to demand a certain loan from them: Allegedly, a Chinese friend owed a large sum to the attackers.
As a result, in the morning, the mother of a kidnapped person transferred 900,000 yuan to her son. After the foreigner transferred 7 million rubles to his kidnappers, the attackers took the men from the scene and left them near the airport. Judging by the lack of publication in the media, it was not possible to catch the criminals in hot pursuit.
