David Graham, 28, worked at a supermarket and couldn’t understand why every time employees throw away unexpired discarded items at the end of the day.
“During my time at the store, I was disappointed by the level of food waste that wasn’t donated to charities or employees,” David added.
One day, Graham saw a bakery worker stuff donuts into a trash can. Deciding to start a protest, David began to eat discarded food. The store’s management found out about this, and the British were fired “on charges of theft.”
“They fired an employee with a long record of service because of the jam donut,” the man was angry.
Store officials also commented on the situation.
“Like most large food businesses, we have clear policies regarding employee food consumption,” the statement said.
