“Even those who are vaccinated in the 60s often remain immune. The fact is that if the antibody level still falls later on in a vaccinated person, then when faced with an infection, he can carry it asymptomatically, thereby re-raising the immune status,” Konovalov explained.

According to him, testing for antibodies to measles is recommended not only for healthcare workers or teachers, but also for those who are unsure whether they have a vaccine for the disease. At the same time, the specialist noted that a childhood vaccination often reliably protects a person almost until the end of his life.

Formerly in Dagestan registered about 200 measles cases.
