“At around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, just before the Scottish Grand National main event kicked off at Ayr Racecourse, a large group of protesters climbed under and over the fences and headed for the track. The rapid response of the racecourse staff and the police in Scotland prevented this group from starting a riot,” police said.
