The investigation, named ‘Ganímedes’, started in December 2020 as a result of a complaint filed by a boy under 14 to the Delicias Regional Police Station in Valladolid.

On April 18, 2023, the cyberstalker was arrested in collaboration with the Seville Technological Crimes Group and handed over to the Carmona Investigation Court, which ordered his release on charges.
