Sudanese Health Minister Haytham Muhammed Ibrahim said that at least 59 people died in clashes that broke out on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. This was reported by the TV channel. “Ash Sharq”.

According to the politician, about 200 more were injured. The health system of the republic is under a critical burden. A fire in southern Darfur destroyed a strategic supply of medical supplies, and 43 of 130 hospitals in Khartoum were completely destroyed.

“The number of victims that day reached 200 people, 75 of them were in Khartoum, 59 people died,” Ibrahim shared.

Sudanese military officials also expressed hope that the Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) would comply with all ceasefire requirements and halt any military action.
