SpaceX conducted orbital flight test of Starship rocket. Launch released official SpaceX YouTube channel.
The launch was originally supposed to take place on Monday, but the launch was canceled due to technical issues. This time, the countdown was also stopped about one minute before the start for the final technical checks. A few minutes later, however, the countdown resumed and the rocket took off with no apparent problem.
About three minutes after launch, the rocket began oscillating randomly around the axis of flight before the stages separated. 3 minutes 59 seconds after launch, the rocket exploded.
Starship is a next-generation, super-heavy, fully reusable rocket with both stages landing on its tail. It is Starship that will have to get astronauts to the moon under the NASA Artemis program in the second half of the 2020s.
