“The fire season has opened in 72 regions, and there is a special fire regime in 28 regions of Russia,” the report said.
The Ministry of Emergencies announced that in connection with the formation of hot weather in some regions of Russia, there is a risk of forest fires associated with burning dry grass in summer cottages and burning household waste.
According to the press service of the department, it is forbidden to fry kebabs and make fires in nature, if a special fire regime has been introduced in the region. For citizens, the penalty for violating these rules is up to 5,000 rubles, and during the special fire regime, if the outbreak of a fire leads to the destruction of someone else’s property, the sanction can grow up to a criminal penalty.
Former Moscow Region Governor Andrey Vorobyov signed Decision regarding the opening of the fire season in the forests of the region. From 10 April to 15 November, a special environmental regime will apply.
