Canadian divers Michael Marcotte and Stuart Seldon encountered a giant Pacific octopus while exploring in the deep sea off British Columbia. The men decided not to miss the moment and take a few pictures with the animal, but everything did not go as planned.

When Stuart swam to the side of the octopus, holding a camera, he began to wrap his tentacles around his neck, wrapping them around his neck. Moments later, the underwater monster spotted Michael and turned its attention to another man.

“The octopus took care of my GoPro camera and tried to take it away from me,” Michael recalls.

After that, the octopus apparently got bored and eventually swam away, leaving the divers alone.

Previously, biologists had found it in octopuses “fingerprint” analog on the skin.
