Sudan Armed Forces and the country’s Emergency Response Forces (Special Forces) declared a 3-4 hour ceasefire for humanitarian purposes. It has been reported Reuters referring to the United Nations mission in the country.
It was noted that the ceasefire proposal was made by the UN.
The ceasefire was concluded for the period from 16:00 to 19:00 local time (17:00 to 20:00 Moscow time). An eyewitness from Khartoum told Reuters that active fighting did indeed cease, but gunfire was periodically heard.
The conflict between the Sudanese armed forces led by the de facto leader of the army, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Commander of the Emergency Response Forces (Special Forces), Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, entered an open phase on the morning of Saturday, April. 15. The conflict is taking place in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum, as well as the metropolitan settlement and other parts of the country.
