According to the Telegram channel of the Canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), the Holy Fire was delivered to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
“The Holy Fire has reached the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The primate lit candles of holy light and dispersed the fire to the believers,” the message reads.
It was noted that the Holy Fire came to Ukraine from Romania – the transfer of the flame took place in the Romanian city of Suceava, where the UOC was welcomed by a delegation from the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese.

The Patriarch openly expressed his gratitude to Vladimir Yakunin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation (FAP), who came to Moscow with Holy Fire. On the occasion of the convergence of the Holy Fire this year, security measures have been strengthened in the Old City of Jerusalem. In particular, the number of participants in the prayer in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher was limited to 2,4 thousand, all of them had to have special passes.
