American billionaire Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, Space-X and Tesla, advocated life imprisonment for anyone who allows minors to change gender or conduct related operations.
“Any parent or doctor who can self-certify and sterilize a child before they become an adult should spend the rest of their life in jail,” he tweeted.
That is why the entrepreneur interpreted the decision of the Florida state authorities, in which the ban on gender reassignment procedures for minors came into effect. The State Board of Health has banned the use of puberty blockers, hormone therapy, or surgery to treat gender dysphoria in people under the age of 18. Some of these procedures can lead to lifelong infertility.
Florida Republican Senator Clay Yarborough said in March that state legislation should establish “boundaries that respect the rights and responsibilities of parents and protect children from very serious health and safety issues.”
The new state decision continues the policy of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who last year banned Medicaid from covering the costs of sex reassignment surgery and hormone therapy.
In addition to Florida, similar bans on hormone therapy and sex reassignment procedures are banned in 12 other states in the United States.
Elon Musk had twin sons, Griffin and Xavier, from his first marriage to Justine Wilson in 2004. After the billionaire left his mother and started dating actress Talulah Riley, Xavier stopped talking to her. It was learned last year that Xavier had completed her transgender transition, is a girl, and has officially changed her gender and name to Vivienne Jenna Wilson.
Vivien officially filed for gender reassignment through the courts when she turned 18 in June 2022. The trans girl also stated that she does not want to do anything with her biological father.
In September last year, the paparazzi managed to catch Vivien on the street. The pictures showed she had female breasts.
The sex change and the announcement of Vivienne Jenna Wilson caused a sensation in Western tabloids as one of the richest people on the planet always kept her personal life and family in the background and tried not to reveal it to the public.
The Independent claimed that Vivienne’s loss of contact with her father and publicly announcing her transition was a response to the transphobic comments made by Musk in 2022. Specifically, he repeatedly tweeted “Pronouns suck”, implying requests from transgender people to address themselves without using masculine or feminine pronouns.
Also in 2022, Musk’s ex-wife, singer Grimes, began dating trans woman and social activist Chelsea Manning. Following the news about it, the billionaire also posted transphobic memes.
Last October, a businessman accused the American education system of not having a relationship with a transgender girl. She thought that Vivien’s father had been ambushed by the “neo-Marxists” from the elite college she attended.
“This is pure communism. It makes you think that if you’re rich, you’re the embodiment of evil,” Musk said. He expressed the hope that he and his daughter would reconcile over time, especially since he has an excellent relationship with all of his other children (seven in total).
