President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed the law on the determination of the statute of limitations for the introduction of administrative responsibility from the day when the administrative offense was committed. Document published official legal information portal.

Thus, Article 4.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. A new section has been added to the article in which the statute of limitations for bringing administrative responsibility must be calculated from the date the crime was committed.

According to the law, no decision can be made on an administrative case after 60 calendar days have elapsed from the day the administrative offense was committed. At the same time, if the judge takes into account such a situation, the deadlines increase to 90 calendar days.

In the current version these periods are two months and three months respectively.

According to the document, Article 4.8 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses. If it falls on a non-working day, it will be postponed to the next business day.
