The Russian investigative committee did not initiate a criminal case against journalist Ksenia Sobchak for spreading false information about state power. It has been reported TASS citing a law enforcement source.
“The investigation decided to refuse to bring a criminal case against Ksenia Anatolyevna Sobchak,” said the interlocutor of the agency.
October 2022, Moscow arrested commercial director Sobchak Kirill Sukhanov. He then described the arrest as a mistake.
Then the police applied to the investigative committee with a call to prosecute Sobchak for spreading “fake news about state power.”
The director stated that he was a witness in the case of Vitaly Mansky. In an interview with Sobchak, the director said that at least 85% of the money allocated was stolen at the Moscow International Film Festival. The statement about Mansky was written by Nikita Mikhalkov, head of the Moscow International Film Festival.
