The paper says a couple from California woke up at night to find a bear in their garage. UPI. The predator was pulled into a trash can with food waste.
According to Nicole and Larry Collum, an alarm went off in their house around two in the morning. They looked at the security cameras to find out what had caused the alarm and saw a black bear climbing into their garage. The hunter targeted a garbage can with food waste.
“It was unbelievable, the bear was so big. He could ruin everything, but he was definitely afraid of me as much as I was afraid of him,” Nicole said.
Husband and wife added that they will no longer leave their garage doors open to prevent such situations from happening again. Animal activists reminded that bears begin to wake up after hibernation and are hungry, so they enter cities in search of food.
