The most popular Russian cities for this May holiday are St. Petersburg, Kazan and Moscow. Also in the top 10 are Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Minsk, Kislovodsk, Volgograd, Sochi and Yaroslavl. At the same time, Kaliningrad, Kislovodsk and Volgograd took the first place in the ranking of cities with the cheapest rental housing for the May holidays. This was reported to socialbites.ca in the online booking service of Russian resort accommodation Sutochno.ru.
According to the survey of the service, the cheapest of the listed cities is to rent housing in Kaliningrad – an average of 3370 rubles per day. Next comes Kislovodsk with an average of 3580 rubles, and Volgograd – 3880 rubles.
“Among cheap popular destinations, it is worth considering Essentuki and Pyatigorsk, as well as resorts in the Krasnodar Territory, in particular Anapa and Lazarevskoye. At the same time, it is most profitable to rent daily accommodation, not hotels, and in this way it saves up to 50%, ”said Yury Kuznetsov, founder, owner and CEO of the Russian online vacation rental service Sutochno.ru.
The online booking service also noted that the most expensive rentals from popular destinations are in Minsk. There, the average rental rate is 4949 rubles per day. “As for nearby countries, Belarus, especially Minsk and Brest, is the most popular for travel among Russians, followed by Armenia, Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Georgia. “The prices of living in these countries are almost the same as in Russian cities, but getting there is more difficult,” Kuznetsov said.
He noted that on average, tourists rent housing for four days, spending about 15,000 rubles on this.
