On April 11, near Shchelkovo, near Moscow, a serious accident occurred on the road in the direction of the Bolshevo settlement.

A 6-year-old boy rode a scooter with his 34-year-old mother. They did not have the necessary motorcycle equipment and, according to reports, the woman was in a drunken state.

Suddenly, the driver decided to overtake the SUV, flew into the opposite lane and crashed into a passenger car. His left leg was severed as a result of the accident, and the victim’s son was injured of varying severity.

As it became known later, from the collision with LADA Largus at the time of collision, the scooter was thrown back into the jeep, as a result of which the passengers of the car remained on the highway. After the incident, the child was hit by a scooter and part of the injured woman’s leg remained on the road. The perpetrator of the accident was conscious.

Those involved in the accident were taken to the hospital. It turned out that the boy had fractures to his left leg and injuries to his face. His mother was taken to intensive care. He was also diagnosed with an open hip fracture.

“On this fact, the investigating authority initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of the rules of the road entails serious damage to human health through negligence). The course and results of the investigation of the criminal case are under the control of the Shchelkovo City Prosecutor’s Office.
