Oleg Orlov, Director of the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMBP), said at a press conference that US representatives avoided participating in the international isolation experiment SIRIUS (Scientific International Research In Unique Terrestrial Station). It translates as “international scientific research in a unique ground facility” in 2023. It has been reported TASS.
“We continue the SIRIUS program in November. We begin a complex experiment – the annual isolation of the SIRIUS crew. The project was conceived as a three-mission joint program with NASA. The current political situation has made adjustments to these plans,” he said, adding that his US colleagues did not leave the project, but did not participate in the SIRIUS-23 program.
Previously, the international annual isolation experiment SIRIUS will begin Next year in Moscow in November.
