Varicose veins can occur for various reasons, but the main factor is hereditary. About this in a conversation with RIAMO said Head of the “SM-Clinic” phlebology center, author of the “Fundamentals of practical phlebology” certification training cycle, surgeon, phlebologist, MD Olimi Şirinbek. He explained that this disease is one of the manifestations of congenital connective tissue dysplasia, in which it becomes weak and extensible.
“Due to genetic changes, the structure of the venous wall changes, causing it to become soft and prone to enlargement. In this case, inheritance is not transmitted along the sex chromosomes, along the female or male line. Therefore, if the mother has varicose veins, her son can develop well, ”explained Shirinbek.
At the same time, according to him, varicose veins can appear due to acquired factors, such as a sedentary lifestyle, smoking, overweight and the nature of work. The specialist added that the disease is more common in women, as pregnancy, taking hormonal contraceptives and menopause are also risk factors.
Former surgeon-phlebologist of the network of orthopedic salons ORTEKA Armen Avakyan saidit is absolutely impossible to do with varicose veins.
