The verdict on politician and broadcaster Vladimir Kara-Murza (known in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) is scheduled to be announced at the Moscow City Court on April 17. It has been reported Business FM with reference to his lawyer, Maria Eismont.
“The announcement of the decision is scheduled for April 17 at 11:00,” the lawyer said.
Eismont also said that on April 10, Kara-Murza had the last word.
Prior state prosecution asked sentenced journalist Vladimir Kara-Murza to 25 years in prison for treason and other crimes. Hearings on their cases have been held behind closed doors at the Moscow City Court since March 6, due to the “secret” stamp. He doesn’t admit his guilt.
In October 2022 he presented treason charge. This criminal case was the third for him. Prior to that, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and their activities in the Russian Federation were accused of spreading false information about the leadership of an undesirable organization.
According to the investigation, Kara-Murza in the Arizona House of Representatives, “acting with political hatred”, reported “deliberately false information that Russian Armed Forces were used to bomb settlements, maternity hospitals, hospitals and schools in Ukraine.”
