The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense has announced that it does not intend to give the MiG-29 warplanes to Ukraine for free use. The ministry commented on media reports about such plans in Bulgaria. TASS.
The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense said that the ministry did not conduct such negotiations, as this decision would lead to shortages in the country’s army, in violation of the Bulgarian constitution and the law of defense and armed forces.
At the same time, the ministry said that since the end of last year, talks have been held about the possibility of implementing “triangular agreements” to replace some of the existing weapons “with compatible ones from the allied states, without losing their combat capability.” ”
On April 10, the Bulgarian media reported that on February 23, Bulgaria expressed its readiness to give Ukraine MiG-29 warplanes for free.
