The Sevastopol garrison military court began examining the criminal case against Ismail Dzangiev, a soldier of the Russian Armed Forces, who was accused of attempting to assassinate his brother’s commander. According to this “Kommersant”Dzangiev’s brother died the day before the incident, and Ismail believed he died through the fault of his commander.
Ismail Dzangiev, born in Ingushetia, now 29 years old, served as deputy commander of the first detachment in the battalion tactical group. His brother Zelimkhan served in the second team and died at the age of 20 in an ambush near Mariupol with several colleagues. The next day, when Ismail did not give a clear answer to the question of his brother’s whereabouts, Zelimkhan’s commander shot senior sergeant Yan Larionov in the face. Larionov managed to survive thanks to the intervention of doctors.
Dzangiev’s defense claims that he was unable to control his actions due to mental illness, the examination did not confirm this. He is accused of violating the rules of enterprise and legal relations and is sentenced to life imprisonment for this.
