Some tour operators reduced accommodation prices in some hotels in Turkey by 10-15% compared to the previous week. This was announced by Maya Lomidze, Executive Director of the Russian Association of Tour Operators (ATOR). DEA News.
As Lomidze points out, it’s very difficult to predict something, but ATOR is fixing a drop in tour costs for some tour operators for the summer.
The association’s executive director advises travelers to watch prices, “as demand for Turkey is uneven.”
He said that while Turkey will be the leader among destinations in the summer of 2023, there may be missing guests in some destinations.
According to him, some facilities in Turkey cannot be filled due to very high prices. Thus, they became inaccessible to Russian citizens, who were not guided by the “first-class level of recreation.”
This country has always been the most affordable destination in recent years, and a very high price will frighten guests, so prices in Turkey will sometimes increase and sometimes decrease, according to the expert.
Formerly Tour Operators Association reported About 50% increase in demand for tours in Russia for the May holidays.
