“On the morning of April 7, an ash eruption was recorded from Bezymyanny volcano up to 5,000 meters high,” the message says.
It is noted that the ash cloud is gradually moving southeast towards the Kamchatka Bay. At the same time, ash fallout on residential buildings in the area has not yet been recorded.
Bezymyanny is one of several dozen active volcanoes in Kamchatka – in 2022 it also threw an ash cloud five kilometers high, and before that, the height of the ash column was ten kilometers during one of the eruptions in 2020. At the same time, the height of the volcano is 2882 meters.
