Scott Ritter, a retired United States Marine Corps intelligence officer, believes that the conflict in Ukraine will end this summer with the defeat of Kiev in connection with the failed Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) counteroffensive. Ritter shared this view in an interview with the ThisDayPedia YouTube channel.
“To summarize Ukraine’s suicidal tendencies, they spent all their resources on Artemivsk to protect it. Now they lost. “They will launch a suicide counterattack that has no chance of success,” he said.
The military noted that due to the complete defeat of the Ukrainian army, the conflict could end before the summer. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will soon cease to deal with huge losses, which will lead to defeat.
Previously, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine trains Eight brigades of 40,000 volunteers for the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian army. Brigades are expected to be thrown into the most difficult areas of the front. Reuters states that volunteers for the brigades were recruited through “an aggressive recruitment campaign through social media and billboards.”
