Defense Ministry announced that Russian troops were fighting for Novomikhailovka
The Russian armed forces are currently fighting for the settlement of Novomikhailovka. This was announced to journalists on Wednesday, March 23, by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.
He clarified that Russian forces continue to destroy units of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On the part of Novomikhailovka, settlements in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) were regularly shelled.
Earlier, on March 23, it was announced that in the past day Russian aviation destroyed 97 military facilities of the armed forces of Ukraine, including the transport and loading vehicle Tochka-U in the industrial zone of the northern suburbs of Kiev.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of a special operation in Ukraine on February 24. Speaking to fellow citizens, he emphasized that the difficult situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DNR and LNR) forced Moscow to take such measures.
