Political scientist, political observer of the “Moscow Talks” radio station, Alexander Asafov, spoke about the relations between the countries on the People’s Unity Day of Russia and Belarus, celebrated on April 2, and also explained why Ukraine took it. a different way
“We can see polar positions. At one time, difficult communication at times, and a series of contradictions that still exist and still exist, caused the two fraternal peoples to cooperate in solidarity in the form of allied states. And in another similar situation, in similar circumstances, the Soviet Union’s “After the disintegration of Turkey, it found itself in a completely diametrically opposite position, which can be described as a total rupture and hostility,” he said.
According to him, the key issue here is the issue of sovereignty. He noted that some of them decided to give up sovereignty for the sake of their promises to join the European Union, while others continued to build relations on the principles of maintaining sovereignty by not giving in to various promises and manipulations.
“We see the intermediate, if not the final result, of history. And speaking of relations between Russia and Belarus, we can say that these relations have a future. The future of the Ukrainian state is not visible in the state in which it is now located. This is also the result of the decisions taken regarding the friendship and cooperation agreement and other terms.
The political scientist believes that this is the result of the application of technology and many years of hard work of Western interests, where there is resistance in Russia and Belarus, because there is a sense of sovereignty. He added that this is not the case in Ukraine, which is torn apart by the power of regional oligarchs.
Asafov also emphasized that politics in Russia and Belarus is based on saving the people and that the Kiev regime is ready to sacrifice the interests of its own people for the sake of the interests of the West.
“Although many statements of various kinds are addressed to the public by the Kiev authorities, we see that the public is perceived as a resource. We see that the task imposed by the Western conflict leaders is now fulfilled and the people are used to surround Russia. It is impossible to say that the Ukrainian authorities are on top of the task of rescuing the people,” said the expert.
At the same time, the political scientist added that the creation of the current Ukrainian state began with the deconstruction of history and the creation of a new historical myth. “There is no preservation of historical memory, but on the contrary, there is complete destruction and the creation of a new legend with new heroes and new pages of history, sometimes absurd, but still a state narrative,” said the expert.
