At the end of 2021, Antonio Resines (Torrelavega, Cantabria, 1954) scared us when he spent more than a month in intensive care due to covid. This is why he insists so much on glorifying the public health work that saved his life. Now, he seems to want to make up for lost time: the comedy’s second season premiered on Movistar Plus+. ‘Sorry for the inconvenience’We will soon see him in the new TVE series ‘Cuatro estrellas’ and he has started shooting another one for Mediaset and Amazon.
-This season, your character in ‘Sorry for the Inconvenience’ Müller and his friend Rafa (Miguel Rellán) continue to live together, but with the same taunts and grumpiness.
-Especially me. Rafa has a history of cancer. They’ve been complaining about something all day. I think there are many such people, the older you get the more things bother you.
Müller is intimidated by a conductor and his student, who believes he will take his place. Does it happen in your profession too? Is the experience sufficiently valued?
-There are so many variables it’s hard to answer. I adapted to the times, I did not experience such pressure. We have more handles, more possible exits, but it’s possible for them to be in music.
-The drama talks about how to accept aging and her character is experiencing some discomfort this season. Do you think there are still many taboos on this subject?
-A lot. There are taboos because nobody likes getting old, you can try to hide it and play the youth. But it is inevitable, so it is better to accept it and take care of yourself. The thing is, there are categories. There are children who are athletes and those who are not, and there are older people who are physically in better shape than others.
Aren’t you crushed under the weight of age like Müller?
-I don’t feel old, but I have ailments: your knees hurt more, you get tired more when you beat yourself, I can’t run 100 meters in 12 seconds, but I still feel young. I exercise less than I should because I work all day but when I have time I try to walk for an hour or more, I don’t exaggerate to eat a lot… So as long as I’m more or less well, I’ll keep fighting a little. I recovered after Covid because I didn’t have the strength to walk, I had to gain a lot of muscle and I have a certain fear of stairs.
-stage covid would you rather not remember?
– When I got out of Covid, my problem was to get better, to be the same as before, and I understood. I even put onions! Later, I was able to control myself, but the desire to do everything was so great… Because at that moment, of course, I wanted to be shot, because I couldn’t stand it anymore. When I was taken to the hospital, I saw some messages they sent to my wife, showing the solidarity of so many people, but I don’t want to remember them anymore. Except for a certain moment, I don’t think about the story anymore.
– Yes, he always takes the opportunity to praise the public health work to which he owes his life.
I owe him my life and love much more than myself. These people have a level of preparedness that is neither material nor business, and this is incomprehensible. We have to defend public health. That doesn’t mean it’s not special, but since we’re all paying for it whether we use it or not, it should be in good condition. I believe we are in the process of degradation and we cannot let these people down or they are considering the possibility of going somewhere else. While I understand it’s not easy, an agreement has to be reached. Sometimes you can’t do anything, but at least you have to try. And they need to have enough tools to try.
-Looks like he wants to make up for lost time and projects are piling up. The films ‘From Little Red Riding Hood to the Wolf’, ‘Methuselah’, ‘Verminals’ are waiting to be released, appearing at ‘El hotel de los líos’.
They were more or less compatible. What happens is that the Malaga Festival comes and they broadcast everything at once. I have an amazing role in another drama called ‘Cuatro estrellas’ and now I’m starting to shoot another drama called ‘Serrines, madera de actor’ in which I am the absolute protagonist. They made me a comic and everything!
-This last one seems to be its own parody. Did you create it?
-Two authors recommended it to me. It started as a documentary and although the base is the same, we broke it a bit. We sold it to Mediaset and Amazon Prime and now we will.
-What is this about?
-The hero is a well-known but jealous, scoundrel man with few feminist and some homophobic tendencies. Come on, it’s a mess of men. Life is going badly for him: one of his best friends dies, his wife breaks up with him, he falls in love with a journalist and converts again to win her favor. He wants to stop bullshit and dedicate himself to prestigious things to get people to change their minds about him, so he starts with Shakespeare, then continues with Spanish classics, and finally starts making a version of Don Quixote. cinema. . It’s all a joke.
-Fran Perea promised to meet with ‘Los Serrano’. will you go?
-This year is the 20th anniversary of the premiere. Fran is making an anniversary album with Víctor Elías. I don’t cooperate because I don’t know how to sing but I will be whatever they tell me.
– Are you surprised that they still ask about the show?
-Quite a few. The funny thing is that they play all the time. Previously on FdF and then Amazon bought it, so it remains to be seen. Now I take pictures with 10-12 year old children. We became a classic.
